Anyone know anything about solar brands and tech? I am looking for 100 watts of solar with a controller to 12v output that will be rugged, effective and not stupid expensive. Any advice?

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but $600 seems like a lot....or is it?

I had one when I was a kid, rode around in it until I got too big for it...

I’ll dig up the vendor after I put the munchkin to bed but I just ordered some solar stuff for school to have my students use for powering equipment at some of the more remote areas of campus.

Alright munchkin is asleep.

I went with this vendor: http://www.earthtechproducts.com/

My school is putting a greenhouse and the goal is it should be entirely self sufficient, so I went way over your budget by buying panels, and a wind turbine that also feed into the generator which also houses deep cycle 12 volt batteries. While I could have gone cheaper this is a plug and play solution so I don’t do any real wiring or building my own battery bank.

My school is also big on getting the kids outdoors so we are also looking at ordering one of these to see how it holds up.

All in all while panels aren’t cheap its the other stuff to make them work that adds up fast.

Hope that helps.
